CHIEF INSTRUCTOR BRIEFING & OPERATIONAL NOTES

Remember the "RETARD, RETARD" voice callout at 20 feet above the runway. In an Airbus, you must manually bring the thrust levers from the CLB detent to IDLE during flare to disconnect auto-thrust and allow the aircraft to touch down smoothly.

AIRCRAFT TRIVIA & HIGHLIGHTS
1FACT #1

The A320 was the world's first commercial airliner to feature full digital Fly-By-Wire flight controls and side-stick controllers.

2FACT #2

Over 11,000 A320 family aircraft have been delivered, making it the highest-volume commercial passenger aircraft family on Earth.

3FACT #3

The barking dog sound heard in the cabin before departure is the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) testing hydraulic pressure between the Green and Yellow systems.
