CHIEF INSTRUCTOR BRIEFING & OPERATIONAL NOTES

The A350 is equipped with Brake-to-Vacate (BTV). When arming BTV on the runway selection page, verify the runway condition and the selected exit on the Navigation Display. Do not touch manual brakes during rollout; let the BTV decelerate smoothly.

AIRCRAFT TRIVIA & HIGHLIGHTS
1FACT #1

The A350-900ULR operates the longest scheduled airline flight in the world: Singapore Airlines SQ23 from Singapore to New York (18 hours and 40 minutes non-stop).

2FACT #2

The cockpit windshield has a distinctive black "Zorro mask" painted around the windows to regulate cockpit temperature and simplify window pane replacement.

3FACT #3

The aircraft features "Brake-to-Vacate" technology: the pilot selects which runway exit taxiway they want to use, and the airplane automatically calculates and applies the exact required braking.
