CHIEF INSTRUCTOR BRIEFING & OPERATIONAL NOTES

Always verify fuel tank balance regularly in flight. The PA-28 fuel selector only allows LEFT or RIGHT (there is no "BOTH" setting like a Cessna), so switch tanks every 30 to 45 minutes to keep lateral balance level.

AIRCRAFT TRIVIA & HIGHLIGHTS
1FACT #1

Over 32,000 PA-28 series aircraft have been produced by Piper in Vero Beach, Florida since production began in 1960.

2FACT #2

Pilots love the manual "Johnson Bar" flap handle because you can dump full flaps to zero instantaneously on touch-and-go landings.

3FACT #3

Because of its low-wing design, the Archer experiences a noticeable "cushion" of ground effect right before touchdown, making smooth grease landings effortless.
