CHIEF INSTRUCTOR BRIEFING & OPERATIONAL NOTES

Respect the torque limits during low-speed, high-power go-arounds. The huge P-factor and torque reaction of the 850 shp turboprop will produce a strong left yaw that requires immediate right rudder input.

AIRCRAFT TRIVIA & HIGHLIGHTS
1FACT #1

The TBM 930/960 is the fastest single-engine civilian turboprop in the world, cruising at jet-like speeds up to 330 kts.

2FACT #2

It features the groundbreaking Garmin Autoland system, which can automatically communicate with ATC and land itself in an emergency.

3FACT #3

The PT6A engine is flat-rated from 1,825 shp to 850 shp, allowing it to maintain maximum rated power all the way up to high flight levels.
